The charging connector can be lowered from the overhead position when needed and retracted after charging. Push-button control enables safe and convenient operation, with low-speed movement, limited torque, and defined end positions to help protect the charging connector and equipment.

Charging Cable Reel for Electric Commercial Vehicles

The Charging Cable Reel is designed for overhead DC fast charging applications where safe, organized, and reliable cable management is essential. It keeps heavy-duty charging cables off the ground and away from vehicle and pedestrian paths, helping create a clear and hazard-free charging environment.

The system is suitable for a wide range of commercial electric vehicle applications, including electric buses, vans, and trucks, as well as public transport and commercial vehicle depots.

When a vehicle arrives at the charging position, the charging connector can be lowered from the overhead position for connection to the vehicle. After charging, the cable can be retracted and stored overhead, keeping the charging area clear and organized.

Safe and Controlled Cable Operation

For enhanced safety, the charging reel can be operated by a push-button control. The cable is lowered and raised at controlled low speed, with limited torque and defined end positions. This helps prevent sudden movements and reduces the risk of damage to the charging connector, cable, or surrounding equipment.

The system can also be integrated with the charging station to enable charger–reel interlocking, helping prevent unsafe operation during charging

1. Charging Cable
  • Rated current: Please specify the rated current of the CCS2 charging cable.
  • Cable length: Please confirm the required overall length of the charging cable, for example, 7 m.

Note: The CCS2 charging cable is normally supplied and assembled by us before shipment to ensure proper compatibility with the cable reel and charging system.

2. Cable Extension Length

Required extension length: Please specify the required cable extension length according to your installation layout and charging position.

Note: The cable extension length needs to be confirmed before production, as the cable and reel assembly is completed before shipment.
